Welcome to The Berrow Honey site. We produce honey in rural West Worcestershire. The honey is gathered from both the Severn and Teme valleys (we are situated on the watershed). The honey is gathered from a variety of wild and cultivated sources locally and we take the bees to the heather in the autumn.
We currently run 40-60 colonies specialising in comb production. The comb honey is produced in traditional square wooden sections as well as the more popular plastic Ross Rounds ™ . For people who haven't experienced the pleasure of comb honey we can also supply cut comb in tubs.
Extracted honey is also produced, both clear and creamed in a variety of pack sizes from 8oz. to 3lb (for those people who use it in their cooking).
By popular demand we include a number of honey based products in our range. These products at present are Honey Mustard, Flavoured honeys with zest ( Lemon, Lime and Orange), Honey and Garlic (really) & Honey and Walnuts.
The surplus wax is used to make traditional polish and candles in a variety of shapes.
The bees we use are the old British Black of which a few nearly pure strains have been found in the UK and Ireland.
