Our bees are sited mainly at the Berrow (Martley) but also at a number of sites locally to facilitate the breeding of bees. There have been bees at the Berrow for over 50 years
The bees forage in both the Teme and Severn valleys and gather nectar from wild flowers, trees, gardens and agricultural crops (rape, field beans, linseed) if any are planted in the locality
All honey is extracted (centrifuged) into 30lb containers and date labelled. This means that approximately one super (a unit put on a hive to store honey) fills one 30lb container. There will be variations between different 30lb lots and even more so between different extraction dates - typically 2-4 times per summer. Dates of extraction can be supplied if required.
Wax is supplied as blocks of 1oz and upwards and as candles. It is also used to make furniture polish. If needed the polish can be made hard or soft (cream) depending on requirements.
